Assist Tony and Sheila in Their Relocation Journey
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Wayne, and my wife and I live in California. Today, I received a call from my dear friends, Tony and Sheila Gladhill. They have been living in Parker, Colorado for 5 years after living in Idaho for the previous 5 years. They moved to Parker, Colorado because the Wholesale Distribution Company Tony worked for in Idaho was having financial difficulties and decided to close the business. Fortunately for them, the employer helped them with relocation expenses. After they were settled and secured a home to rent, they were able to find new employment. One would hope after living in Colorado for 5 years, the dust would have settled and the thought of moving again wasn’t even a thought. However, the longer you live, the more you learn never to say never.
A week ago, Tony and Sheila received a call from their landlord and were told they were moving out of Colorado and had decided to put their rental home up for sale. In complete shock, they asked when they had to move and they were told by August 31, 2024. Colorado had already become too expensive to live. With no options of staying in Colorado, they knew they had to find another state to move to. It also meant they would have to secure new employment once settled. After much praying and staying faithful to their Christian faith, they shared with me that they were putting this in God's hands and knew He would, as always, provide them with the strength needed to overcome another challenge in their life.
Neither Tony nor Sheila asked me to make a request on Go Fund Me. After they had shared their story with me, they asked us to hold them up in prayer. Since speaking with them, they have made a decision to move to Bentonville, Arkansas, apparently they have a second or third cousin living there. I realize each of us have had difficulties in our lives and sometime we can become immune to the struggles many people in the United States are dealing with. Please do not feel pressured to donate. I’m just thinking of a family that has always worked and paid their share of taxes and has fallen on hard times like many other Americans have since Covid.
Thank You, Wayne & Linda
