Help Tyler With Funeral Expenses After Losing His Dad

Donation protected
Dear Family, Friends, and Donors,

I am Dawn, Brian Wingart's sister. I am raising funds for my nephew, Tyler so that he can pay for expenses after the passing of my brother, his dad.

Brian just celebrated his 56th birthday on July 24th. Sadly, this will be his last on earth.

A month later, Brian was finally admitted to a hospital for severe stomach pain, and weight lost. He was there for approximately 5 days. He underwent a few procedures to find the underlying cause of his pain and weight loss. Brian was then told that he had cancer and that it was aggressive; he was given approximately 1 year to live. He was then discharged the 26th of Aug.

On Tuesday, September 3, he saw an oncologist. He was told his cancer was extremely aggressive and growing expeditiously. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It had already spread to his liver and kidneys. Brian was then told he had maybe 6 weeks left. He was informed that he was a candidate for chemotherapy. On Friday, Sept 6th, they were going to put a port in so that he could begin treatment.

Sadly, on Thursday, Sept 5th, he is no longer communicating well. He barely opens his eyes. Hospice was now there and providing comfort care.

My nephew Tyler lives with him and is providing all the care, doing whatever Brian needs. The hospice nurse even explained to Tyler how to give his dad medicine, how to change out the fentanyl patch that Brian is now on. Tyler, with hospice, are providing continuous care for him 24 hours a day.

Saturday September 7, in the early morning hours. Brian passed away at home with his son by his side.

Our parents are older, and as you can imagine, they are devastated, in shock, and overall completely heartbroken. Parents should not have to bury their children, no matter what age their kids are.

We are asking for donations to help out Tyler, and the rest of the family. As my parents are now helping Tyler. Brian was the sole provider for the both of them. With the sudden passing of his dad. Tyler will have no income. Brian and Tyler were in the process to begin disability for Tyler. Sadly everything has changed. Brian did not have any life insurance or, such. This now leaves the burden on Tyler and my parents.

The money that we receive will go to assisting Tyler, and my parents with the funeral expenses, as well as everyday expenses such as rent, food, utilities, and so forth.

Please, if you can help us, even if it’s just sharing our story so others can see it, so maybe they can donate, or just sending us a prayer, we will be so grateful.

My goal truly is to ensure that Tyler is financially stable and not having to deal with the additional expenses of a funeral. This is until we can get all the paperwork done for him. Tyler has been an absolute angel in dealing with his dad’s diagnosis and death. We want to make sure he is okay and does not have to worry financially right now.

For those of you who knew Brian, you know he was an extremely private person. He was a very proud man. If you knew him, you may have never known how hard it was for him on a daily basis with the amount of pain he was in from his back. He tried to help anyone he could. I know he was supportive to one of his neighbors that also had health issues and loved to just be there to help them. He had the best laugh ever, and that smirk of a smile we will all miss. He always has been funny and used humor a lot to help all of us. He loved to encourage others, even if just to find a better way, offer a suggestion and be positive. He would help.
Brian loved fishing, camping, especially when we were young at Le-Mar Lake Park in Norwalk OH. He loved bowling, and used to work at Visalia Lanes. Brian absolutely loved the ocean. He used to say he would live in Venture CA if he could.

With Brian being diagnosed with cancer and us losing him less than two weeks later, well we are at a loss, we are heartbroken. We shouldn’t have to say goodbye to our son, brother, and Father. Our lives will never be the same.

So again, if you can donate, we will be so grateful.
Thank you in advance for your kind words, prayers, and donations.

We will be having a Celebration of Life for Brian. This will be on Friday, September 27th from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. This will be at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel. Visalia CA.

I am asking in lieu of flowers please consider donating to this Go Fund Me. Tyler isn’t a fan of flowers, and well like father like son, as Brian didn’t care much for them either.
