Assist with Robert Earl Gipson’s Final Farewell

Hi, we would like to maybe possibly raise a little money to help with the funeral expenses for Lil Papaw!

Robert “Bob” Earl Gipson. Born in Corsicana,Texas on Tuesday August 25,1942; and went home to rest Wednesday November 20, 2024 in Houston, TX where he resided. Bob was preceded in death by both of his parents Tommie Russell Gipson and Sidney Ford Gipson. Also his daughter, Cherrie Lynn (Gipson) Verot. Bob was survived by his daughter Teri Sue Longoria and husband Patrick. His grandkids Steven Longoria and wife Jackie, Shane Longoria and wife Haylee, and Samantha Longoria. Four great grandchildren Alizabeth Longoria, Travis Longoria, Daisy Longoria, and Brooklynn Longoria. A sister, Tommie Jo Canter and her children Candace Dell, Don Ray, and Dee Ann. Along with numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.

A man of faith, deeply loved by all. Bob was a jack of all trades in his lifetime, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed watching sports, sitting outside listening to the birds and reading his bible. Bob was a soft spoken man, but he loved being surrounded by the ones who were dear to him. He always liked it dark in the house, you would think he was saving electricity. But he would always say “I like it dark in here, because I look better in the dark.” Which would be followed by a deep chuckle that could make the grumpiest person crack a smile. You would often find him up late looking for a tasty snack, his favorite were potato chips. Just to turn around and find him up early in the morning watching the early morning news channels. It is the little things that we will notice over the upcoming months, but I pray you think back and smile at all the wonderful cherished memories that each of you have.

We appreciate all the prayers and messages we have got since his passing. It’s a difficult time, but we are happy he’s in a better place and spending time with his beloved mother Sidney and father Tommie and daughter Cherrie Lynn!
