Help Chris Pay Monthly Expenses: Battling Cancer

Donation protected
April 8th I was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia. From May 9th till June 3rd I underwent two very powerful rounds of chemotherapy to kill off my bone marrow. On June 6th & 8th I had an Autologous Bone Marrow Rescue (transplant via one’s own stem cells.)99 Days have now passed since my Autologous Bone Marrow Rescue. In that time I have received transfusions blood & platelets three times a week. My freshly engrafted bone marrow has stubbornly refused to produce blood & it’s components. The reason being a lack of the hormone erythropoietin. The hormone is produced mainly in the kidneys. The kidneys were not producing it as a result of multiple cancerous tumors now residing within. Imaging was conducted (MRI, PET/CT) and not only confirmed the presence of the malignancy in the kidneys but found a mass in the meninges of the brain. This development puts me firmly in Stage 4. The diagnosis is: Renal Cell Carcinoma (Tumors in Kidneys) Intraventricular Meningioma: Type II (Tumor on Meninges)As a consequence I must continue to arrange methods to satisfy my expenses for an unknown amount of time. This puts me far past the Christmas ‘22 timetable for recovery & aftercare. In consultation with my treatment & personal support teams, it’s been agreed that for this recovery time I will need to conjure funds for household expenses covering at least 6 more months. The amount requested is the most conservative amount required to keep the lights on, rent paid, car operational for appointments, Sheba fed & cared for & heating oil in the tank for 6 months at my current location. Thank you for your support & kindness through this unbelievably difficult time. It is because of this kindness & support I will be able to fight these continued complications with fewer distractions. It is appreciated greatly. Update: October 27th. October 5th I underwent a stereotactic radiosurgery procedure to treat the Intraventricular Meningioma. During imaging to assess the efficacy of the treatment it was discovered that my lymph nodes are becoming involved. This is additional torque on a situation that was already very serious. A treatment plan is being developed by my team to address the various simultaneous issues. I will continue to update the campaign whenever possible to keep you all abreast of the situation.
