Assist with Grampa’s Heriberto Colon's Cremation Costs

Hello! My name is Roxi and I am the youngest daughter of Heriberto Colon, whom I made this fundraiser for. My father Heriberto, is still on this earth with us but unfortunately not for long. Almost 3 years ago he had been diagnosed with heart failure, diabetes & COPD. So, he was placed on hospice: even though he has defeated a few times the predictions from the doctors on how long he had to live, now the reality has come closer.
Sadly my father's heart rate dropped to 10% and he has been getting admitted more to the hospital than ever before. My father has 3 children my older sister, brother and myself. Since my dad had been diagnosed all I ever wanted to do was making sure his funeral was settled so when the time comes we can only focus on grieving and not be stressed about finances. Unfortunately, that didn’t go as planned. As a young mother of 3 children and wife, life has just gotten more financially stressful. Through all that has been going on with my father, my husband and I moved and bought our first home. But, with all of those beautiful things came a lot of debt situations that were out of our control.
To be very honest, my father, my siblings and I are not close to any of our family members so when I received an email about Gofundme after years of opening my first account for my mother in-law RIP, I took it as a sign that hope to get help for my father's funeral arrangements. My father wishes to be cremated so we can spread his ashes in the island he was born and adored close to his mother in Puerto Rico. He currently lives in Rhode Island with my older brother and sadly the cremation process is a lot more expensive in Rhode Island than it is in Ohio where I am currently located.
Now that I informed the reasons of why I opened the fundraiser I now want to talk about my father and how amazing he is. My father like any person in this world is not perfect but there is so much good in him that will always be greater than his flaws. My father started to work when he was only a child he was in charge of helping his mom raise all of his brothers and sisters (which is a lot for a child) He grew up working hard and even built a house for my grandma (his mother) when he was just a teenager. Later in life my dad kept working hard as a contractor, the best contractor I will ever meet. He would work 6-7 days a week and wouldn’t want a day off but sadly that all in the end caught up to him. He is the most hard-working man I have ever met and still to this day wishes he could work. His children, grandsons and granddaughters are everything to him. He is the best Dad and papa and we will miss him very much but he will always be in our hearts and in our memories. I am asking for 3,000 dollars becuase it is 2,295 for the cremation + $80 dollars for the urn that we have chosen + $150 to be able to see him for 1-2 days and the rest is to help with travel expenses from ohio to Rhode island roundtrip.
I want to thank everyone in advance. You don’t know how much I will appreciate every donation. May God bless you all.
