Assist with Roxy's Health Care Costs

This fundraiser will be used to assist Roxana Khan with the costs of her medical expenses through 2021.  

As you know, live-entertainment workers are experiencing unprecedented unemployment.  And with health insurance tied to employment, Roxanna's costs could spiral in the coming year.

In Roxy's words:

As some folks might be aware, In early 2020, I was diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease called Myasthenia Gravis, as well as a Thymoma.  I underwent surgery to remove the tumor and have been in in treatment for the disease since April.  As this is a chronic condition, I continue to receive care and am working with doctors to reach a “new normal”.  I take medication, and will also be starting IV infusion therapy very soon.

Because of the pandemic, I’ve not worked since March of 2020, but still continue to incur expenses, including medical bills.  My savings and unemployment are enough to cover rent and every day expenses like groceries and utilities.  However,  out-of-network costs and insurance premiums are beginning to pile up. If I was able to work, I’d be able to cover them, but because the arts industry is at a stand still, things have become quite difficult.
