My name is Madeline Lette, I am Carolyn’s (Sissy’s) aunt. I am running this fundraiser on behalf of my sister-in-law, CarolAnn, Sissy’s mother, to cover end-of-life costs, including cremation and memorial. My niece suffered with a short-term illness before being taken into critical care at MetroHealth Hospital yesterday, where she has been on life support without brain activity. The family has until Friday, August 2nd to finalize all medical decisions regarding end-of-life care.

Carolyn Feye Reynolds (Sissy) was born July 15th, 1970. She was born profoundly deaf and without an esophagus. She has had multiple surgeries throughout her young life to try to improve her quality of life, but her health was always something she struggled with.

Sissy was reported non-responsive at her home, by a friend, on Tuesday, July 30th, and was taken to MetroHealth in Cleveland, where she was found to have no brain activity. At this time, while Sissy’s mother and sons are focusing on these unexpected end-of-life care decisions, my sister-in-law has asked that I help her organize the finances needed to respectfully see through her final arrangements.
