Assistance for City Pages staff

After 41 years of covering life in the Twin Cities, City Pages is shutting down permanently. If you can afford it, please spare a few bucks for the 30 staff members who are losing their jobs. This fundraiser is organized by Matthew DeLong, digital projects editor of the Star Tribune and a News Guild colleague of City Pages' editorial staff. A number of City Pages staffers, including editor Emily Cassell, were consulted about this fundraiser before it launched, and they are in close communication about the future of the fund. City Pages' staffers will decide how the funds are disbursed and into what account any withdrawals from this fund are made. All of the money raised will be distributed to City Pages staff for bills, personal expenses, or whatever purposes they see fit. Many thanks to everyone who has donated.
