Assistance for Eric Douglas's Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
The sudden loss of Eric Douglas has left us all heartbroken, and his family needs support in covering the costs of the funeral, medical bills and other expenses. If you can donate, your kindness and compassion will be deeply appreciated and will help us honor the memory of our beloved Eric, a member of the Southside Community Center and the Homemade Hope family.
Eric (age 17) left this world yesterday evening after a hard-fought battle against sudden blood clotting and heart complications. He had been in the hospital for over a week and a few days ago, his condition was hopeful, as he sent a list of his favorite meals that he hoped to prepare with Homemade Hope when he returned home from the hospital. One of his favorite activities was Homemade Hope cooking classes and he aspired to be a chef one day.
Eric loved the Lord, his family and his community. He touched so many lives through his gift of prayer. He often lead our Homemade Hope students in prayer and loved attending the Homemade Hope Gala where he would share blessings and inspirational words. He loved mentoring fellow students at the Southside Community Center where he shared his sweet spirit, kindness, love of cooking and educational goals with the community. Homemade Hope had plans to make Eric a Homemade Hope alumni intern and the recipient of a college scholarship. He was an incredible person with many goals and aspirations for the future.
Thank you in advance for your help in showing love, admiration and deepest sympathy for Eric’s family through a financial contribution. Eric will always be so very loved!
