Assistance for the Brunell Family
Donation protected
Hi my name is Bob Rice. I met Diana when we both responded to assist at the World Trade Center after the 9/11 attack. We became very close friends and have remained so to this day as did our families and we consider them family, even the kids call us Aunt & Uncle
Our families became extremely close. We both adopted children and were there for each other during the process.
Diana and myself also continued to manage a Crisis Peer Counseling Team for emergency responders which assisted hundreds of men & women over the years.
Ed is a retired Lt. with the Cape May County Sheriff's Department and both of them were involved with the Concerns of Police Survivors after close friends and co-workers died in the line of duty.
After the adoption of their 2 children their lives became devoted to them after rescuing them from terrible conditions.
Ed's health began deteriorateing a few years back and progressively got worse after he contracted COVID and then it was discovered he had cancer.
With Diana by his side Ed fought the diseases which involved numerous hospital stays and untold amounts of trips from Cape May to Camden for treatment which ultimately depleted their finances.
Just days ago they received the news that nobody ever wants to hear , that there was no more that could be done and hospice was ordered to help with whatever time Ed had left.
2 people that have helped many people over the years now need help themselves.
Ed is also a graduate of Deptford High School, Class of 1980.
A member of the Knights of Columbus.
Please pray about giving whatever you can to help this family out and not let them be burdened with having to worrying about finances at this time when they need to spend every waking minute together as a family.
