Assistance for the family of Sol Neely

In the words of his father, George Neely:

"It is with the greatest sorrow that we must inform everyone that on the afternoon of October 16, 2022, Sol Jackson Neely passed away while doing one of the things he loved the most, hiking the backcountry. He was on a solo hike and apparently suffered a catastrophic medical event and passed quickly. The exact cause has not yet been determined. We already miss his razor sharp intellect, his deep social compassion, and that Cherokee sense of humor that kept us all laughing."

This fundraiser will directly support his family as they make preparations in their grieving and recognition of our beloved Sol Neely, husband, father, brother, cousin, friend, and colleague.
