Help for Comic Artist Thomas Tenney and Family

Its never easy for anyone to talk about their struggles publicly, but our current situation has put us in the position where we have few choices. The last year and beginning of this year has been filled with obstacles that we have been trying to overcome. The months have been exceeding hard with a foreclosure on our home, medical bills piling up and not much work coming in.

The medications for Thomas COPD have increased and become almost an impossibility to keep up with due to our current finances. Albuterol, rescue inhalers, lung medication and now an oxygen condenser are needed daily. Without these medications, we are in a terrible position and to be blunt could cost Thomas his life if his lungs fail.

We know we will have to move from our home and we don't have the funds to even get a new place. Apartments are out of the question since Thomas is freelance without steady income. Apartments also ask that applicants make at least 3x the rent and provide both the first month in advance and security deposit. Government housing can take up to 6 months to a year. We will have to leave and go somewhere. But we would need the funds to even do that. Money we currently do not have. We are looking at our family being homeless. That includes our autistic daughter and pets.

We have no family that can take us in. To complicate matters our car isn't running, so we can't even trade it in for even a van to live in if we had to. Fixing the car is a very important or we'll be walking the streets with only the clothes on our back.

To say we're barely getting by would be an understatement. Thomas who has been a career artist for some of the most best known comic book publishers is (like other artists) having a difficult time finding work. Money for past work has been delayed or not paid. That has been a terrible blow to us all.

We are hoping some of you might be in a position to maybe consider extending a donation to get us through these times or contacting me via my social media to arrange private art commissions.
