Assistance in replacing a stolen dirt bike

Hi! My name is Carrie and I starting this go fund me for my son. Our family came to visit for the holiday and ride dirt bikes together. Our nephew was out riding my sons dirtbike in the front yard when he was approached by someone hiding behind a bush and was asked to give up the bike while holding a gun. My nephew, 12 and scared as ever, did the right thing and handed the bike over to the thief. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

My son worked so hard last year working for every dollar he made to buy that bike. It took him months to make the money and he just recently put more money into it so it was running good. He is heartbroken and still wondering how this could have happened. He wonders how someone can just take from others and not have to work for what they have. I am asking for donations for him to raise money to purchase a replacement bike since my renters insurance will not cover any of it. There is still an ongoing investigation to find the thief as this was an armed robbery. If anyone feels moved to help we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
