Assisting Carlos' Medical needs upon Tragic Accident

Dear Colleagues and Friends Working on the S-JV BCG Project in Kingston, GA,

It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic news of a devastating accident involving three of our colleagues from the subcontractor ESM. The accident occurred on the evening of Friday, January 14th when the three Venezuelan men were struck by a truck less than a mile from our site as they were making their way home from work.

Tragically, Ramon, a hard-working provider & devoted father, lost his life. His son, Ronald, sustained minor physical injuries, while their friend Carlos suffered life-threatening trauma, including a broken leg, a ruptured spleen, a detached jaw that had to be wired back in place, and extensive staples running from his abdomen to his neck. It is nothing short of a miracle that Carlos survived, and even more remarkable that he was released from the hospital last week.

The driver who hit them was under the influence of alcohol. This has left Ronald grieving the loss of his father and struggling to cover funeral costs, while Carlos faces a long and painful road to recovery.

We are reaching out to ask for your generosity in helping these two young men during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, and any contribution big or small will help ease their burden and show them that they are not alone in this fight.

안타깝게도, 성실한 가장이자 헌신적인 아버지였던 라몬은 이 사고로 목숨을 잃었습니다. 그의 아들 로널드는 가벼운 부상을 입었지만, 친구 카를로스는 생명을 위협하는 심각한 부상을 당했습니다. 그는 다리가 부러지고, 비장이 파열되었으며, 턱이 분리되어 철사로 고정해야 했고, 배에서 목까지 이어지는 부위에 광범위한 수술 상처를 입었습니다. 그가 살아남은 것은 기적이며, 지난주 병원에서 퇴원한 것은 더욱 놀라운 일입니다.

이 비극적인 사고는 음주운전자가 저지른 무책임한 행동으로 인해 발생했습니다. 이로 인해 로널드는 사랑하는 아버지를 잃고 장례 비용을 감당해야 하는 어려움에 처해 있으며, 카를로스는 오랜 치료와 회복의 길을 가야 합니다.

Estimados Colegas y Amigos que Trabajan en el Proyecto S-JV BCG en Kingston, GA,

Con profunda tristeza compartimos la trágica noticia de un devastador accidente que involucró a tres de nuestros compañeros de la empresa subcontratista ESM. El accidente ocurrió la noche del viernes 14 de enero, cuando tres trabajadores venezolanos fueron atropellados por un camión a menos de una milla de nuestro sitio mientras regresaban a casa después del trabajo.

Lamentablemente, Ramón, un padre devoto y un trabajador incansable, perdió la vida en el accidente. Su hijo, Ronald, sufrió heridas físicas menores, mientras que su amigo Carlos resultó gravemente herido, con lesiones que pusieron en peligro su vida, incluyendo una pierna rota, un bazo perforado, una mandíbula desprendida que tuvo que ser fijada con alambres y numerosas grapas desde el abdomen hasta el cuello. Es un milagro que Carlos haya sobrevivido y aún más asombroso que haya sido dado de alta del hospital la semana pasada.

El conductor que los atropelló estaba bajo los efectos del alcohol, convirtiendo esta tragedia en un acto totalmente evitable. Ahora, Ronald no solo enfrenta el profundo dolor de perder a su padre, sino que también lucha por cubrir los costos del funeral, mientras que Carlos tiene por delante un largo y difícil proceso de recuperación.

Hoy, queremos pedir su apoyo y generosidad para ayudar a estos dos jóvenes en este momento tan difícil. Cualquier donación, grande o pequeña, aliviará su carga y les demostrará que no están solos en esta lucha.
