Assisting the Coles

On 30 January, CJ was on a business trip in Georgia when he had sudden chest pain. After an ambulance ride to the hospital, it was determined that he needed to be life-flighted to Emory Main in Atlanta. When he got to Atlanta, he was rushed to surgery and underwent a 10-hour open heart surgery. Courtney flew out immediately to be there when he came out of surgery and support his recovery.

Currently, the family is operating in two different halves of the country. Courtney and CJ are at the hospital in Atlanta, where he is in stable condition but still in the intensive care unit. The other half is in Clovis, New Mexico, where Taylor (21) is taking care of the household and her three siblings (16, 12, and 9) with help and support from their neighbors and CJ’s unit.

There is currently no timeline for CJ to be able to travel and return home. Please consider supporting the family and household as they navigate this difficult time.
