AST Middle School Girl's Soccer Program

I've been playing sports for as long as I can remember, and they have given me a lot throughout my life - a sense of purpose, some of my best friends, and an unrelenting belief in myself.

Now, as a middle school teacher and head soccer coach at a Title I school in Aurora, Colorado, I hope to help my middle school girls see how much confidence can be built when they set a goal and stick with it, especially at an age when identity can be fragile. The important lessens they will learn have little to do with winning and achievement. They have everything to do with effort and integrity.

In February, I will be running my first marathon in the Mississippi Delta - the place where my love for teaching started. Please consider donating to my girl's soccer team as we prepare for our first season this spring. All donations will be used to support players to purchase the necessary gear needed to participate (cleats, shinguards, etc.) along with new uniforms. Donations of any amount are appreciated.
