Astrid's Amputation Surgery

My name is Mally, and I adopted a precious and sweet one-year-old german shepherd mix on November 2, 2022, and have named her Astrid. Astrid was hit by a car before the adoption. She has a wound on her rear left paw and left hip, was degloved on her back, and has a terrible laceration on her rear right leg and a broken tibia. Sadly, she will need her right hind leg amputated, but I am optimistic about her recovery. Due to Astrid's previous owners' financial struggles, they had to surrender her to the shelter, and the original plan was to euthanize her. However, I saw fire in the eyes of this gentile and kind-hearted dog and could not let that happen, which is why I adopted her and am going to provide her the best care with a fabulous doctor and with copious amounts of love and belly scratches. I am raising funds to help pay for her amputation, follow-up visits to the vet, and medications she will need during her healing process. This pup is sweet as candy and deserves a chance at life.
