Asylum Seeking Family from Ivory Coast

SEE BELOW FOR UPDATE!
Hi, my name is Sue Kenney-Pfalzer and I am fundraising for a young family (father, mother, and 4-month-old baby) that recently made the treacherous journey to the U.S./Mexico border from Ivory Coast (with a stop in Brazil). They were then bussed to Washington, D.C. by the Governor of Texas. I happened to be volunteering the day they arrived. They only speak French and have no friends or family anywhere in the U.S. With nowhere to go, my family and I offered to let them stay in our home. They've now been with us for around three weeks and we are providing for all of their needs. However, we are moving out of state at the end of the summer, so this family will need to get their own apartment. Many of you may not realize that asylum seekers do not have the legal ability to work and cannot even apply for a work permit until 6 months after they apply for asylum. So, we are trying to raise funds so that they can pay at least the first month's rent and security deposit for an apartment by the end of the summer. Any amount helps! Thanks so much!
