Coleman's Medical Mission Trip

I am currently a sophomore Biology major at Texas A&M University trying to raise money for a 9-day mission trip to Cusco, Peru with Medlife, a medical outreach organization.  

50% of the money will be for airfare, and the remaining $1000 will be spent on lodging, transportation, meals and medical supplies I will need to bring with me.  The funds are due by December 1, 2015, but I would like to have them sooner to decrease the cost of airfare.  

This trip is significant to me for many reasons. As a Christian, I feel that I have been called to love others, to take care of those in great need, and to share the gospel in places beyond internet reach. Academically, I am pursuing a career in Orthopedic Surgery, and this hands-on experience in healthcarewould be invaluable to me as a student.  I also happen to be a minor in Spanish, which partly helped me determine South America (Peru) as my destination.  The language exposure cannot be replicated in a classroom.

Words cannot express how grateful I am for any and all contributions. Surviving in college is expensive enough without trying to volunteer in third world countries! But I know this is an opportunity I can't pass up. So, I will rely on prayer and the generosity of those who believe in my mission.
