Help Support Our Dad in His Fight Against Cancer

Dear friends, family, and strangers

Our world drastically changed when our dad, Cecilio Gordillo, was recently diagnosed with a rare type of cancer. He has been in and out of the hospital since mid last year trying to find what has been effecting his health and we finally got an answer. As a family of 7, his love, strength, and dedication have always been the glue that holds us together. Now, he’s about to start on the challenging journey of chemotherapy, starting this Thursday.

My dad has always been the primary provider for our family, working tirelessly to ensure we’re cared for and supported. With this unexpected diagnosis and the demanding treatment ahead, he’s unable to work as he finally starts treatment this week.

The financial strain of medical bills, treatments, and transportation from Indiantown to Tampa every week has been very hard on us and we’re reaching out to our community for help. I know my dad has had in impact in so many people’s life. Always trying to make everybody smile and laugh. Your generosity will help us cover the costs of his medical care, keep our pretty big household afloat, and allow us to focus on what matters most: being by his side every step of the way.

Queridos amigos, familia y personas de buen corazón,

Nuestra vida dio un giro inesperado cuando a nuestro papá, el pilar de nuestra familia, le diagnosticaron con un tipo raro de cancer recientemente. Somos una familia de 7, y su amor, fuerza, Fe en Dios y dedicación siempre han sido el motor que nos mantiene unidos. Ahora está a punto de comenzar un difícil tratamiento de quimioterapia este jueves.

Mi Papá siempre ha sido el principal proveedor de nuestra familia, trabajando incansablemente para asegurarse de que estemos cuidados y apoyados. Con este diagnóstico inesperado y el tratamiento que tiene por delante, no podrá trabajar mientras se enfoca en su salud y recuperación.

La carga financiera de las facturas médicas, los tratamientos y los gastos diarios es abrumadora, y estamos recurriendo a nuestra comunidad en busca de apoyo.
