Hi, my name is Harold Stotler, and I'm raising funds for my sister, Cindy Filkins. On Tuesday, January 10th, she received the devastating call that her daughter, Athena Surface, had passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully in her sleep, at her home in California Missouri. She was only 42 years old and leaves behind a host of people who loved her, including two children and one grandchild. Athena was a kind and loving soul who loved helping people. She worked hard to obtain a degree in nursing so she could help those who were suffering. Athena also loved all animals, large, small, and in between. She enjoyed riding and grooming horses as well as working with dogs and helping to train them. Athena was the same age as my daughter. They were born just 5 days apart. I can think of nothing more devastating than losing a child. Cindy lives on a fixed income and I know that any donations that we can raise to help her pay for Athena's funeral expenses would be immensely appreciated.
