Family Medical Bills

Hello, my name is Matt, and I am reaching out for support on behalf of my 22-year-old daughter, Riley. We are facing a challenging medical situation and are in desperate need of your help.

Riley has multiple major health conditions that have severely impaired her quality of life. Over the past year, she has been admitted to the hospital multiple times requiring lifesaving interventions. Recently, Riley's health has declined to a level where she has now been admitted into a top-tier treatment center in California. This lifesaving care is largely covered by insurance. However, due to our insurance being private, we are drowning in medical bills.

My goal is to raise $20,000. This will relieve our financial burden tremendously. Currently, we have a deductible of about $5,000. As of right now, we are paying in monthly payments thus, we are now struggling to afford rent, Riley’s premium payment, and household necessities. Riley’s premium is $360 a month. Annually that amounts to $4,300. My Riley’s vast team doctors have provided a clinical recommendation that Riley transfer to a second treatment center after her treatments are completed at her current facility. The inpatient bed portion of this level of care is not covered by insurance. The average monthly price is between $2500-$3500. Riley’s recommended stay for treatment is 8-12 weeks (about 3 months). Your contribution will be a meaningful blessing during this difficult time. We are struggling to survive and each donation, no matter how big or small, will be lifesaving.

Riley’s condition has caused our family true heartbreak. The thought of losing her is unbearable as a loving father. Seeing Riley so sick and the constant fear of her livelihood has made her life, and ours, more difficult than ever before. One month ago, Riley’s doctors guided us, and we found the best care possible in the entire country. This was our only option to save her life. We immediately did everything humanly possible to get her there. Going broke did not matter because we finally had hope for our futures. Riley is progressing slowly and we hope with your help she will attain sustainable remission from her illnesses.
