ATL Satrangi Fundraiser!

Hi everyone! I'm Veda Nune, and I am a competitive dancer on ATL Satrangi. I would really appreciate your help in sending me and my team to compete!

ATL Satrangi, established in 2011, is the premier student-run, non-profit, all-girls competitive Bollywood Fusion dance team from Atlanta, Georgia. We strive to share our passion for dance and women's empowerment both on and off stage. We aim to perform sets that artfully combine Eastern and Western styles, truly blends each teammate’s unique dance background, and tell an enchanting story. A majority of our members attend Georgia Tech, and a few attend Georgia State University. We compete on the national scale with styles including contemporary, Indian classical, Bhangra, Hip-Hop and other Western styles. Currently, we are ranked the number 1 all-girls team in the country! This Spring, we will be traveling to Alabama, Philadelphia, Chicago, and more!

ATL Satrangi strives to share our passion for dance, Indian culture, and women’s empowerment with audiences all over the world. However, to do so, I need your help! As women in STEM aiming to put on a captivating performance, we construct intricate props and sets involving complex lighting devices, rigging systems, and often homemade costumes. These props and sets add up to huge costs for us which we must pay for in addition to competition, travel, and hotel fees. Unfortunately, our university funding has been cut for the year and we need your help to let the show go on! Your contribution goes directly toward making our set possible and keeping our mission alive through funding prop material and travel fees.
