Hello, my name is Christian Mcgregor. I am 11 years old. I am a part of an "Atlantic Coast Young Marines" organization. We are taught Discipline, Leadership, and Teamwork. An educational trip to France and Germany is planned for June 3, 2023 - June 15, 2023. I am asking for a monetary donation. Therefore, whatever you can donate will be appreciated. No amount is too small. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Subject: LETTER OF INTENT FOR D-DAY HISTORY TRAVEL TO EUROPE
1. I am writing to express my intent to take our Atlantic Coast Young
Marines to France and Germany to learn D-Day and World War II History
first-hand in Normandy and other locations in France and in Germany.
2. Our Young Marines and Adult Volunteers will be traveling from 3
June- 15 June, 2023. Our Young Marines will have a once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity to participate in a D-Day Remembrance Ceremony on-site, as
well as meet some of our few remaining veterans from this era.
3. In addition, our Young Marines will visit the Beaches of Normandy,
museums, cemeteries, and memorials dedicated to the lives sacrificed for
the freedom of our country and world. We will also be visiting Germany,
including the Dachau concentration camp.
4. George Santayana said, “Those who do not remember the past are
condemned to repeat it.” My goal with this great undertaking is to teach
our Young Marines in the most direct way possible the great sacrifices
that have been made and the need for us to never become passive in our
pursuit of justice and freedom.
5. Our travels will cost roughly $5,000 per Young Marine and Adult
Leader, and we are hoping to bring 30 people. We are raising all funds
ourselves. We are gratefully accepting sponsorships, grants, and any
contributions toward this worthy and important mission.
