Hi everyone, my name is Deborah and I am fundraising for a dear friend of mine Barbara, and her adorable four-legged companion, Atlas.

Atlas is not just a pet; he is a cherished member of Barbara's family, a loyal and loving soul who has brought immeasurable joy into their lives. Together, they have shared countless adventures, weathered life's storms, and created a bond that words can hardly describe.

Recently, however, fate dealt them a harsh blow when Atlas was enjoying time with his fur friends when he collided with another dog, causing him to sustain a pneumothorax. After being taken to the vet, the veterinarian drained his right lung. However, his laboured breathing has returned and it is suspected that the pneumothorax has come back, which means this time would require urgent surgery. This heartbreaking diagnosis has left my dear friend in distress, as they find themselves facing a financial burden they never could have anticipated.

The recommended surgery is a vital step in saving Atlas' life and ensuring he can continue to brighten the world with his playful spirit. The procedure comes with a significant cost, one that Barbara is struggling to bear alone, given the current circumstances. This is where our collective strength and empathy come into play.
