Ramadan Sadaqah

Assalamu Aalykum wa Rahmat Allahi wa Barakatuh

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we approach the end of this blessed month of Ramadan, our hearts are filled with anticipation and gratitude for the countless blessings bestowed upon us by the Almighty. This Ramadan, we have the opportunity to come together as a community and support the Islamic Heritage Center in fulfilling its noble mission of providing essential services to our brothers and sisters in need.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity." (Tirmidhi) Let us seize this opportunity to earn immense rewards by contributing to the Ramadan expenses of our beloved Islamic Heritage Center.

Our donations will go towards providing Iftar Alsayim (feeding the fasting) to those in our community who may not have the means to break their fast. It is narrated in a hadith that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever gives food to a fasting person with which to break his fast, will have a reward equal to his, without it detracting in the slightest from the reward of the fasting person." (Tirmidhi)

Additionally, our contributions will support the expenses of hosting Taraweeh prayers at rented locations, ensuring that our community members have a conducive environment to engage in worship and spiritual reflection during the blessed nights of Ramadan.

Moreover, our donations will go towards providing Suhoor meals during the last ten nights of this Holy Month, enabling our brothers and sisters to begin their fast with strength and nourishment. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Partake in Suhoor, for indeed, there is a blessing in it." (Bukhari and Muslim)

Furthermore, a portion of the funds raised will be allocated to charity efforts aimed at supporting Muslim families in need within our community. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of charity, stating, "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity." (Tirmidhi) He (peace be upon him) also stated: "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)." (Muslim)

Let us heed the call of our faith and emulate the example of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by generously giving in the way of Allah. Together, we can make a significant impact to reach this goal.

Every contribution, no matter how small, counts and will be greatly appreciated. The prophet peace upon him said:“Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).” (Muslim) May Allah bless you abundantly for your generosity and may He accept our efforts during this blessed month of Ramadan.
