ATRC's Fire Recovery Fund
Tax deductible
On November 7th, our storage barn at Albany Therapeutic Riding Center caught fire. While the cause is still unknown, we will share updates as they become available.
First and foremost, we are incredibly grateful to report that all animals and people are safe. Thanks to our amazing staff’s quick actions, all the horses were safely evacuated. We are deeply thankful for our dedicated staff, volunteers, neighbors, and everyone who has reached out since last night. A special thank you goes to the seven fire departments who responded to the farm last night.
Due to everyone’s efforts, the fire was contained to just one building. However, the barn and its contents were a complete loss.
We lost 600 bales of hay, bedding, grain, all the horses’ winter blankets, wheelbarrows, pitchforks, our four-wheeler, zero-turn mower, arena drag, extra vinyl fencing, and tools.
We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the immediate needs of our horses and farm. Program and services will have to be shut down until further notice, so we will need help supporting the operating cost of caring for horses and staff and preparing to restart our programming as soon as we can. Any contribution, big or small, will make a significant difference.
Please donate and share this post to help us rebuild and continue our mission.
Thank you for all your support!
