Atticus can no longer walk and needs surgery
Donation protected
Hello, we are the Di Orio Family, and we love our dog Atticus. He brings joy and love into all of our lives and to everyone he encounters. At the age of 6, he is still just as loving and as energetic as he was when he was only a puppy. He always brings a smile to any stranger he comes across. He is super friendly and social and loves making new friends with people and dogs! After having Atticus for this long we can all confidently say he is a huge part of this family and it wouldn't be the same without him.
Unfortunately, Atticus was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia and a torn ACL. His much-needed surgery for his ACL is on January 10th. He used to be very active and loved to go for long walks. When Atticus wanted to play or even go into a full sprint, he'd have so much force and energy that he doesn't have anymore. He is in severe pain almost constantly. What used to be a spry and playful dog has succumbed to so much pain that Atticus now finds it difficult to climb stairs or jump into bed. It is now so severe he can not even stand up without help or without using his two front legs to pull himself across the floor.
We are asking for your help to raise the funds for this surgery. As a family we are bringing together as much money as we can, but it is still not enough. Atticus is the reason for so much joy and love, and we want to do everything we can to make sure he has a pain-free and happy life. We would be so grateful for your help, whether that is a donation or just sharing this page. Thank you so much.
