Please Help Wylie!

My name is Ashton Lemmer and Karma Connolly and I are writing this today with a heavy heart and a plea for help. A dear friend/client’s dog Wylie was tragically struck by a car Friday evening. The driver didn't even stop. She was found by a nurse who saw her get hit and took her to the ER. Wylie suffered from a broken pelvis, sprained ankle, and internal bleeding. Wylie is stable but she still needs to under-go a few more surgeries plus extensive rehab. As you can imagine, the veterinary expenses have quickly accumulated and we all know we wouldn’t hesitate to surpass our own financial means to save our pets….they are family. I know GoFundMe’s have kind of lost their pizazz over the last few years but Your contribution, no matter how small, would make a significant difference in helping Wylie receive the necessary treatment to recover.

This is important to me because if you have met Wylie, she has most likely stolen your heart. You probably know she comes from a very unique background, she is resilient and a survivor. Wylie was adopted about 1 1/2 years ago from a high kill shelter in Texas. She was taken for a study for anxious dogs which brought her to Va. Wylie found herself in a foster home in Charlottesville and after only one week, she said she couldn’t return Wylie to the shelter….she had “too much potential and very cuddly for a shepherd”. Since being taken in, Wylie has gone through an amazing transformation thanks to her former foster mom/current owner. Through immense amounts of love and patience, Beatrice has given Wylie the life she deserves. She has even taken the time to find a trainer, and groomer to help her build her confidence. That’s why we wanted to make this fund......the accident has left Wylie with severe injuries, necessitating immediate medical attention and ongoing care. Please help us help Wylie!
