Support Tom's Battle Against Cancer

Hello from Ashley, Dillan, and Angel. As many of you may have heard about our dad, and those who haven’t. We are here to ask for help.
On September 3rd, our lives would be flipped upside and thrown into something we would never imagine. After days of not feeling well, our Mom (Leslie) took our dad (Tom) into the hospital. After many hours, tests, and scans they had found cancer in the kidney which had spread to the bones, lung, and brain.
Dad wasted no time and went to war. The first week was rough. The doctors chose to do one large dose of radiation on his brain to hopefully slow things down. While he was struggling with simple things like eating or even talking, he still pushed through.
Planning doctor appointments, administering medication, cooking, cleaning and caring for dad—was just a short list mom picked up right away with all this. All while trying to process what the heck is happening.
Us kids grew up pretty lucky. Mom has been an in-home child care provider for 31 years. Taking care of many families over those years, some even kids that she used to care for. While also occasionally fostering children that needed the help.
Doctors had told my mom they didn’t think it was a safe environment for dad. It broke their hearts, and she continued one more week so my dad could spend time with the kids. Dad was called Tomma and they would wait and watch for him to come home every day. Because he was sure to rile them up. Our parents loved having so many little rascals running around the house. It’s what they’ve always known.
Now after 31 years mom had to close the doors to her daycare and dad hasn’t been working since August. This is where we are asking for help. As dad’s treatment continues they are unable to work or generate any real income.
Dad has been taking a chemo pill daily and then does chemo and immunotherapy every three weeks. He is a warrior, and has been getting a little bit of himself back every week. We pray this continues.
If you can’t help in a way of a donation, we ask for prayers and positivity. Give him a phone call or even stop by.
Thank you so much for your support. It means the world to us.
Love, Ashley, Dillan, and Angel.
