Arnie Robinson Jr. Youth Sports Fund

Donation protected
My father, Arnie Robinson Jr. was a native San Diegan and Champion.  Completing a very successful career as a world class athlete NCAA, U.S. Champion, Bronze 1972 and Gold 1976 Olympic Champion, Arnie continued to live in Southeast San Diego.

Arnie saw his natural talents and accomplishments as gifts that were his responsibility to share them by giving back to those within the community.  Arnie applied the same unstoppable commitment, passion and dedication required to win Olympic Gold to helping others. He promoted youth track & field by organizing meets, investing his time and money in timing equipment, being involved with facility improvements in any way he could and also by coaching young athletes.  Above all, Arnie encouraged those athletes that education should be a primary goal.

Arnie dealt with his cancer diagnosis in 2005 with the same attitude that propelled him to success in world class competitions, passing away on December 1, 2020, one week after testing positive for COVID-19.

Arnie Robinson's dedication and values will continue.  His genuine commitment to helping others is the most lasting memory for all who loved him.

Contributions to this fund will seed an organization that will continue the work of supporting youth sports in the San Diego area.  Arnie has provided a path for us to follow to success.  Let's maintain and improve that path by continuing his work of supporting youth sports.
