Aubrea’s Voice
Donation protected
On January 6th 2020, we hired a new nurse as our nurse of 7 years was moving into a different position. She trained the new nurse for a couple of shift’s spending approximately 20 hours in the home Before she was alone with Aubrea. The morning of the 6th I was getting ready to leave for work and had a bad feeling about leaving her alone with Aubrea. I took the Arlo camera that was in Aubreas room and walked it to the living room and placed it on the mantle. Easy as it sounds. I got in my car and as I drove out of the neighborhood I called my husband who was already at the Fire station and asked him to keep an eye out for Aubrea on the camera. I explained I had a gut feeling something was not right. As I was driving he returned a call back with in about 3 minutes stating the nurse had just struck her. I was in disbelief. I immediately turned around and headed back home. This is every parents nightmare. I would like to point out the nurse had only been alone with her for 15 minutes. Had I not had this camera Aubrea would not have had a voice and the nurse still had 9+ hours left with her in the home. I am starting this #gofundme page to raise money to purchase as many cameras as possible to donate to all the homes where children just like Aubrea don’t have a voice. Every parent should be able to look in on their precious angels any time day or night. Every child with special needs also need a voice. I am teaming up with the camera company Arlo as well as the Tulsa news media to bring our story to light and make something good out of a bad situation.. Please stay tuned for our story and let’s get some cameras into these home and give everyone a voice!
