Aubrey's Fighting Pancreatic Cancer
Donation protected
My husband, Aubrey, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2016. The diagnosis came unexpectedly, as Aubrey has been active and healthy his entire military and civilian career.
Because pancreatic cancer is the deadliest of cancers, there was an urgency for treatment. The doctors decided that the best course of action would be an aggressive chemotheraphy called Folfirinox. So for four months, Aubrey was given Folfirinox with ZERO results, except for 45 pounds of weight loss and a list of body-killing, wrenching side effects. After no success, the doctors then advised Aubrey to try several rounds of a different chemotherapy, but we decided no more and began extensive research into alternative methods of treatments.
A very good friend spoke these powerful words to us, “Pray like it depends all on God, but work like it depends all on you.” So Aubrey started an organic diet. Each day, he now eats and juices vegetables, drinks wheatgrass, and omits dairy and gluten. Any meat he eats is grass-fed, he takes natural supplements and he has tremendously increased his alkaline water intake. When he has the energy, he stays as active as possible by walking. He has also been getting chiropractic treatments; detox, oxygen and hyperthermia therapies; and purchased a Rife machine that is used daily. We are also buying an infrared hyperthermia device as well. And most importantly, we are claiming victory daily as a family through prayer, praise and speaking with authority the promises of God in His word.
And Aubrey has started to feel much better. To God be the glory that he no longer feels any pain. This is great news! However, the cancer still remains in his body. Throughout this entire storm, God kept bringing into our lives a series of messages, testimonies and books from people who were healed naturally of all cancers, including pancreatic. And after seeking God's direction through prayer and fasting, we decided that our next approach should be an aggressive holistic one that heals from faith and food to immunotherapy, natural supplements and lifestyle.
The clinic that we have been led to is Hope4Cancer Institute in Mexico. The institute features more highly effective treatment options under one roof than any other cancer clinic, and it has done well in treating pancreatic cancer patients. This is an expensive program, though, and is not covered by insurance. The treatment costs range from $45,000 to $50,000 and must be paid upfront. Aubrey is on their waiting list to be seen in July, so in the meantime, we're raising money toward the cost of his treatment.
We have already spent thousands of dollars on medical bills, high-tech cancer treatment devices, prescriptions, supplements, diet changes, and travel expenses for second and third opinions as well as visiting naturopath doctors out West. And these expenses have come in the midst of a loss of income while Aubrey is off work.
But we refuse to let this disease tear us down. We are in good spirits and we continue to rely on God, as the joy of the Lord is our strength and the strength of the Lord is our joy.
Our family has set a goal to raise $55,000, and all funds donated would go specifically to the costs of his medical expenses (plus the fees charged by GoFundMe).
Those of you who know me know I’m very low key, so the last thing I thought I would ever be doing in life is writing a letter asking for help. Throughout this journey, we have been blessed with so many people giving us prayer and love. Several have asked what they can do to help. Contributing to the cost of Aubrey's treatments would be a blessing. We would be so grateful for your donations.
We have strong faith to believe that God will move people to help us, and we do believe He will completely heal Aubrey in Jesus' Name! As a father, Aubrey still has so much more to experience with his precious daughter.
Thank you so much to all of those who would like to help. God bless you abundantly for your generosity. Your loving gift will be received with great appreciation!
Please continue to keep Aubrey in your prayers, as he fights this disease for his family, friends and other survivors of pancreatic cancer. Our family thanks you for your support. Please share our story to help us reach our goal.
Cancer is so limited.
It cannot cripple love,
It cannot shatter hope in Christ,
It cannot corrode faith in Christ,
It cannot destroy peace,
It cannot kill friendship,
It cannot suppress memories,
It cannot silence courage,
It cannot invade the soul,
It cannot steal eternal life,
It cannot conquer the Spirit.
