Aubrie Thompson

Hi, my name is Nora Nixon. My granddaughter, Aubrie Thompson, has been suffering with severe pancreatitis since she was 2. This disease is hereditary. She lost her dad to this disease when she was 11. She is currently 13. She has recently been approved for a pancreatic transplant that will take place in Minnesota. They will have to make 2 trips. One for consult, the second trip for the actual surgery. This will be an 8 hr surgery, and she will be in ICU for 10 days afterward, then a regular room for another week. Her insurance is going to cover the surgery cost, but her mom will have to incur the cost of travel and lodging while they are there. She will also have to miss work during this time.
