Aubrie Faces A Goliath (CIC-DUX4 SARCOMA CANCER)

Donation protected
This summer, my husband noticed a bump on the back of Aubrie's lower spine. I took her to her primary doctor, who suggested seeing an orthopedic doctor since it sits right on her spine. After an X-Ray, Dr. Shapiro said it could be a lipoma but suggested an MRI.
In late October, Aubrie underwent a quick procedure. After her MRI, we got referred to Dr. Williams at Dell Children's. He decided that a biopsy should be done.
Fast forward to this past Tuesday. We got the news that no parent wants to hear for their child. That your daughter has a cancer called, Lymphoma.
We've never felt so helpless and lost. My heart sank to my stomach. How and why! The last few days have been overwhelming with information, questions, and answers. Trying to navigate it all.
Aubrie will get another biopsy done, so the doctors and pathologists can study and research more.
She will undergo Chemo next month. I ask all my friends and family to keep my girl in your prayers. I want my Aubrie to know she won't fight this alone ❤️ that she will beat this.
As you can imagine, the costs will add up quickly, and we are looking for any financial support people can provide. As of now, some of the expenses we know will be Medical Costs - Radiation/Chemo - Fuel for Radiation/Chemo as it is a one-hour drive - Supplements/Medications.
My due date for our 4th child is in December. During my maternity leave, we will also be caring for our Aubrie through her battle against Lymphoma. We are so grateful that you can help, but simple prayers, positive vibes, and well-wishes are more than enough.

New Update: Friday, December 30th, 2022 - CIC-DUX4 Sarcoma (CDS) is the cancer Aubrie has. Today we found out more than expected. Aubrie will undergo chemo for 11 months. Two different cycles the first cycle consists of 5 days in the hospital & within 3 weeks the second cycle she'll be at the hospital for 3 days. Then go every 3 weeks. Then she will do radiation in between. We can't tell you how heavy our hearts feel. There's so much more she has to get done. This year will not be an easy one but we will fight with every bit of courage we endure. Please send all the prayers possible.

Previous Update: Monday, December 5th, 2022- We just got out of Aubrie's appointment. They told us it was not a Sarcoma but Lymphoma. They have narrowed it down to two kinds of Lymphoma.

They want to start treatment in two weeks. But she will not need radiation. So the next two weeks, she will be in school then after that, she will be homebound til she starts high school in August of next year.

We also must be cautious when she starts treatment because her white cell count will be down, and she can quickly get sick. We must rush her to the hospital if she even has a fever. We also have an appointment with fertility treatment to harvest Aubrie's eggs. The chemo will damage her ability to bare children later in life.

I told her I'd rather her have that option when she gets older. She will get another scan done soon. Then she will get a port inserted to administer the chemo. Throughout her appointment today, Aubrie was ok until Dr. Wells told her her hair would fall out. She lost it.

I pray to God she fights like hell to get through this all. It still seems so surreal to me that we are here...
