Help give Auburn a Baby
Donation protected
Hi my name is Emily Volz, I am Auburn’s sister. Growing up, on every candle and star I would wish for Auburn to be free from her genetic disease, cystic fibrosis, and to have a normal life. I knew that may never happen in my lifetime but I kept wishing for that!
At 22, Auburn was extremely sick and upon doctor recommendation, got her tubes tied. I was devastated knowing she would never have the normal life and family I wished for her. I told her “If and When you want a family, I will gladly carry your baby!”
Fast forward 10 years, my sister is healthy, happy, and 6 years post lung transplant. She is ready to experience one of the greatest joys in life, and something she’s always wished for, becoming a mother.
I’ve seen her be an amazing aunt to my two kiddos, and I’m excited to see her with her own.
However, modern science isn’t cheap. Auburn is applying for grants and saving her nickels, but, costs of egg retrieval, fertilization, transfer, medications, genetic testing, and appointments will cost in the range of $25,000.
If you know my sister, you know how much she loves kids, you know how caring she is. Help me, help her make her dream come true.
