Background
My name is Cynthia, and I'm running this fundraiser for Audie, my friend of more than 15 years.
Audie has spent the last five years fighting a disabling migraine condition - sometimes up to 24 migraines in a month - while also managing diabetes and ongoing joint issues.
She has done everything she can: consulted multiple specialists, tried more than 44 medication combinations. Nothing has helped consistently, which means steady work has been nearly impossible for her. In addition, every system that was supposed to catch her has said no:
• SSDI appeal has been denied and she's now awaiting a court hearing
• DSHS cash assistance and Medicaid have been denied
• SNAP food benefits were lost in December 2025
• Retirement savings are almost completely depleted, with a revised 10% tax penalty, just to pay bills
• No family support is available.
While she earns some modest income through occasional pet sitting, it's not enough. October 2026 is when she will no longer be able to afford her current housing.
The Plan
Audie was working toward a specific solution: a quality used travel trailer or RV parked on a leased or friend's private lot and in the Pacific Northwest. It was the best way to lower costs and keep her three cats - Harley, Ducati, and Benelli - with her. They are her family and her emotional support animals.
Unfortunately, a series of serious joint injuries in the last three months, and loss of the private land option meant Audie can't pursue this plan anymore. Her Physical Therapist has confirmed Audie can't manage RV home maintenance and related tasks due to the permanent joint damages she has.
So for now, the best plan forward looks like one where we help her and the cats stay put, until she hears back from the SSDI hearing and try to figure out other future options. Note: the SSDI hearing could take months.
This modified plan will help avoid any big moving expenses for the moment, and keeping her close to the medical care she needs on an ongoing basis.
So here is how is you can help Audie and her ESA cats stay together and sheltered:
1. Give Financially - our goal is $50,000. Funds go toward a year of shelter and living expenses for her and the cats, plus a little emergency buffer to buy and move into a van if needed.

Venmo PavPal Cash App: @audiemaven
2. SHARE - GoFundMe's research shows every share leads to an average $50 donation and those donations really can add up to make a big difference!
It is always a good time to share and it's always appreciated.
Here's what your support goes toward:
$5 = a week of medical wifi
$20 = a month of litter for all three cats
$35 = a case of Fancy Feast for the cats
$100 = a month of migraine medication
$350 = an annual senior kitty exam for one of the cats
$1,200 = a monthly insurance payment
$1,300 = most monthly medications
Thank you. Please stick to these specific asks and donate. Audie is not looking for unsolicited medical or financial advice. She is happy to provide more details about her situation to anyone ready to help with specifics. You can email her at her Gmail account: help4audie
Thank you for supporting Audie. Thank you for caring. And thank you for being part of her community.
