Dear Audra's friends and Family,
By now, most of you have heard about the massive stroke that Audra had on November 30th. Since that time, Audra has been hospitalized for the last few weeks. Thank goodness, she is out of immediate danger and is now at an acute rehab facility in Tampa. The damage from the stroke is unfortunately, significant----but, anyone that knows our Audra, knows how determined she can be! So, she is already making some progress with her rehabilitation. There are some brutal realities however. Audra has no movement on her right side and cannot put any words together. She is receiving wonderful physical, occupational and speech therapy. Here is the problem. None of what she is receiving now is covered by her horrible insurance policy. It is all out of pocket. We are told we have to come up with $21,000 by Friday the 23rd. So, we need to help Audra and Barry. Everyone has asked over and over… “How can I help Audra----someone who has always done so much for everyone else?” This is how you can help. We know it’s the holiday season and money can be tight---but the simple reality is that the facility can and plans to remove her if we don’t pay by Friday. They will NOT negotiate and they will NOT set up a payment plan. This is an elective facility. The medical bills from these last few weeks are already catastrophic. Can you please help Audra? She would never allow a page like this if she knew about it---but we feel a responsibility to make sure she gets the best possible care and her insurance is already maxed out. From this point on, it’s all out-of-pocket. Please help any way you can---thank you so much! We love you. Audra loves you!
