Audrey Davenport is HOME
I am setting up this Gofundme for my Aunt Audrey Davenport (whom I affectionately call Powder.. have y'all seen that movie?), to help get her back to Cornelia,GA, her hometown.
Gotta find her way back… to the hills of Habersham.
Please help me help Audrey get back home – In January, 2017 she'll be driving cross country from Phoenix, AZ back to Cornelia, GA - 1923 miles.
We always think we got our life figured out but you just never know how things can happen and what God has planned for your life. When she finished grad school at SCAD, she went home to spend quality time with her mama, Mrs. Ethel Mae Davenport (my dear Granny) and to try to repay her for all she's done for her. What she witnessed (the physical decline in particular) pulled at her heart strings something terrible (she's real tender hearted like that) so she set out to help her mama however she could to ensure that 'her remaining days' were as pleasant as possible. That included moving her into her home and later moving her cross country to Phoenix, Arizona - a place her mama said she'd always wanted to live (because her baby, my Uncle Anthony Davenport lives there and she had visited for years). Audrey has unselfishly spent the last 7 years caring for my dear Granny until she crossed Jordan on October 24, 2016.
Now it’s time for Audrey to come back home and "find herself", to start a new chapter in her life (she hasn't even had time to grieve).
Her lease is up in January (but rent still gotta be paid for December and January), at which time she plans to pack all of her life's possessions and hit the open road. Since I'm the self proclaimed 'logistics wiz', I hope to have everything strategically planned out so that she can have the necessary help along this journey to assist with driving, lodging, gas, food, incidentals and maybe even a little fun along the way. She's feverishly looking for jobs (much easier said than done and she's applying for any and everything) so that she can work and save as much as possible these next two months. She just needs a little financial boost to help get things caught up and get her back to Georgia. She can take it from there....
Any contributions you can make as soon as possible will be greatly appreciated and used to complete these tasks. It's a big undertaking and we ask for your prayers and for God's protection and traveling grace.
I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for any contribution you can make and I am humbly grateful. There's no way I can think of all the people to include so please pass it on.
Respectfully,
Pam Williams, Her #1 Niece
