Audrey Donaldson - A Mother's Wish

The Donaldson family has been beset with the ultimate tragedy--Audrey, a loving mother and spirited wife has succumbed to cancer.

Hers was a long and heroic battle, filled with miracles and setbacks. Audrey's main concern during the ups and downs of treatment was the welfare of her four children. Through love for her family she continued to beat the odds that were set for her.  She made it her goal to see her daughter graduate High School when doctors told her it was improbable. Not only did she sit in the front row for the ceremony, Audrey drove Adriana off to college that fall. She continued to create memories for her family, one more Bar Mitzvah, one more sporting event, one more day at the beach.

We can all learn so much from Audrey's will and determination as she fought this insidious disease. She never gave up; she never stopped striving to reach her next goal.  And although the disease affected her body, Audrey showed us that there are things CANCER CANNOT DO:

·         IT CANNOT CRIPPLE LOVE

·         IT CANNOT SHATTER HOPE

·         IT CANNOT CONQUER SPIRT

·         IT CANNOT SILENCE COURAGE

·         IT CANNOT DISSOLVE FAITH

·         IT CANNOT SURPRESS MEMORIES

 

Now it is time for Audrey's friends and loved ones to help fulfill her last wish of providing for Ariana, David, Daniel, and Dylan who are as courageous as their Mother.
