Help replace Audrey’s pony
Donation protected
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, 2022, my family lost 3 of our 5 horses to a suspected environmental toxin. This included my daughter’s pony dying on Christmas morning despite intensive emergency veterinary care. We were only able to save the two youngest horses in the barn. All three horses we lost were important members of our family, but my daughter’s pony was a once in a lifetime combination of sweet, kind, forgiving and trustworthy that is difficult to find in a pony. Riding him was the highlight of her day, and she rarely missed an opportunity to be on or around him. I know we will never be able to replace him, but as my family begins to try to pick up the pieces and heal from this devastating loss, I don’t want my daughter to be excluded from the time we spent riding together simply because the only two horses we have left are too young for her to safely ride. We will continue to have veterinary bills rolling in for a long time due to a multiple night hospitalization for multiple horses, and all of the diagnostic tests that are being performed trying to determine what had happened. Any amount donated would mean the world to my family and I, because it would allow us a chance to try to find a new pony or horse for my daughter. Any funds not used on a pony for her would be put towards veterinary bills.
