Approximately three weeks ago, our sister Audrey Gayle, suffered a significant medical setback and was taken to the Sky Ridge Medical hospital in Cleveland, TN. During this time she was experiencing shallow breathing. Junior, her husband, took her to the hospital where she was given some antibiotics. After three trips to the hospital and three bouts of antibiotics, our sister was rushed to the emergency room at Erlanger East Hospital in Chattanooga where she underwent surgery for calcification in her intestine. After that surgery, she suffered a ruptured spleen and was rushed to Erlanger Baroness Trauma I Hospital in Chattanooga, TN and was placed in ICU where she is at present. During the last week, all her major organs stopped - our sister suffered kidney failure and was placed on dialysis for 8 days, her heart stopped for 4 minutes, and she was placed on a mechanical respirator for breathing and enteral feeding syringes to receive nutrition. Today, we thank God for the progress our sister has made. Junior reported that she "sat" up in bed with support, all life support tubes were removed and she attempted to speak. Please continue to keep the Gayles in your prayers as we trust the Lord for Audrey's complete healing.
