Audrey Samuels-Senior

My name is Principal Olivia Rodriguez-Calderon. It is with a heavy heart to announce that, Hubbard Middle School has lost one of our amazing staff members, Ms. Audrey Samuel-Senior. Those of us lucky enough to know Ms. Samuels-Senior knew how much she loved teaching and serving the students of Plainfield. Though this is a difficult time for all of us, we must remember the joy, friendship, kindness, and love that Ms. Samuels always conveyed. She worked for the Plainfield Public Library, then for four years was a permanent substitute for Maxson Middle School until I brought her with me to Hubbard. At Hubbard, she taught 7th grade ELA and made connections with the students and staff. We all loved her very much.

When I last visited Ms. Samuels, she stated that if she passes she would like for her body to be buried along with her mother in Jamaica. Her wonderful and supportive family would like to make that last request happen for her. It would be very appreciated if you could make any donation amount in her honor.

Together, we send our deepest prayers and condolences to her son Corey, sister in-law Vivette and the rest of her family. It is in times like this that we must remain strong for each other.
