Audrey Westfall

As you know, our sweet Audrey was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on April 4th. Because so many family members, friends, co-workers and support groups have reached out for a way to help, we have set up this page. Thank you all for your incredible support and prayers!

Here is Audrey’s story in Megan’s words from her Facebook post:

I truly can not find the words, but our dear Audrey has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Our amazing friends at the Jane Lew Family Clinic stayed open for us Monday evening when I called in a panic because Audrey was so weak and pale. Dr. Carey Swisher literally drove my car with me and Mom and Audrey to Ruby after getting her lab work back as it was extremely low. Brooke Swisher followed us and Lillie Swisher helped get a hold of Boog who was working out of town. I will never forget how they helped us that evening.

On the way I texted my coworkers and Dr. V and Dr. Osman her lab work. Osman said Megan, this is leukemia, I am coming to the ER. By 9:30 Mom and I were told the diagnosis. I must say I thought hearing my own diagnosis was a nightmare, this didn’t hold a candle. Boog made it at 10:00.

Our world is shattered. We have had amazing support from friends and family. The doctors and nurses at WVU Children’s Hospital have been amazing. Within 24 hours she started chemotherapy. I was so impressed with their team. They have so many amazing support staff.

Our hearts have been broken yet again by this horrible disease, but we will get through it. We thank everyone who has reached out to us, brought us clothes and food and watched little London.

Please keep Audrey and her doctors and nurses in your prayers, as well as our family. This is a nightmare I would not wish upon anyone. But in true Audrey fashion she is handling it very well and has us all mesmerized by her intelligent questions she writes down for the doctors every day. She’s a rockstar. ❤️
