Auggie Vinti

Auggie is a fun-loving four-year-old boy who dreams of being a fireman when he grows up. He is the best big brother and cousin and enjoys spending time with his family.

On Thursday, May 12, Auggie was diagnosed with aggressive Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, also known as DIPG.

DIPG has a 2% survival rate and is a type of tumor that starts in the brain stem, the part of the brain just above the back of the neck and connected to the spine. The brain stem controls breathing, heart rate and the nerves and muscles that help us see, hear, walk, talk and eat.

Auggie is currently in the hospital receiving Radiation treatment which he will need for at least six weeks before he can be re-evaluated and potentially start a clinical trial.

These times will be not just emotionally draining but financially due to the various appointments and travel fees the family will endure. We very much appreciate any support you can give and would like to ask that you keep him in your prayers.
