Aughrim, Kilmore, & Half Parish Improvements
Donation protected
Summer is Coming and a new subcommittee of Aughrim Kilmore Development Association CLG has been to set up to improve the overall appearance of the Parish Community of Aughrim, Kilmore & Half Parish. This Committee will identify two areas on each side of the Community including Aughrim/Hillstreet, Curries /Dangan/Kilmore & Scrabbagh and the Half Parish.
This funding will go towards the following:
1 Seating / Picnic areas
2. New sculptures
3. Revamping of old and construction of new flower beds.
4. Investment of Bulbs and plants
5. upkeep and Maintenance of delict buildings, fences, and walls
6. Tree Planting
7. A New Fruit and Vegetable Area to be used by all locals.
8. To increase our Bio-Diversity status at local level
This a project will require three things, volunteers, time, and funds. Funding has already been sought from our local council; however, this will not cover the costs of the proposed works. Building on previous parish work the Development Association has completed within the community, we would love to take part in Tidy Village competition and Pride of place awards when the work is completed.
An Account and a Go Fund Me page is being set up and every house inside and indeed outside the parish with connections to the community are encouraged to support this initiate. A committee of people will volunteer their time and effort to get this work planned, organised, and completed. If any business or individual would like to sponsor a new Seating /Picnic area or a Sculpture, please get in touch to discuss. Your support is needed to ensure that we all have a parish/community to be proud of. Any amount donated big or small is appreciated. If you can support in any way; funding volunteering etc please get in touch with Claírín Gilchrest, Trevor Hunt, Clare Connellan, Eoghan Sweeney, JJ McWeeney, John Gilchrest, Gerry Tiernan, Frances McEvoy
