HELP US HELP SARU AS SHE FIGHTS 4 HER LIFE IN ICU

Who this will help

On the evening of December 12th , the most terrifying day of my life, my twin sister Saru August and I where walking down to the store from my house where she came to Visit when she abruptly was struck on the crosswalk by a speeding truck.

Why I'm fundraising

When I saw her unconscious body laying in the rocks with blood pouring out of her head and face it was unreal. I was so terrified. all I could think about was my 24 years old twin sister and the whole life she had ahead of her, her dreams and her goals in life and how it could all be over, Our family, and just how much I love her and needed her to be okay!

I quickly called 911 and I was instructed not to touch or move her but just to make sure she was breathing if not I would be instructed on how to preform CPR on her.

An ambulance rushed to her rescue and she was airlifted to the hospital trauma ICU in extreme critical condition. The paramedics preformed CPR on the scene and told me I had to get to the Reno hospital 47 minutes AWAY as soon as I could as she was VERY critical and they weren’t sure she would make it. I immediately called our mother, brother, and her partner to meet me there.

Saru has been through a great deal of pain and suffering, more than what anyone loving beautiful soul deserves. Her fight is not over. She remains to fight for her life everyday in the ICU.

With god by our side and constant prayer in unity she’s made it through 8 surgeries at this time and has survived this terrible nightmare. She’s still fighting so hard for her life and the road to her recovery is still not over. She will need a lot of emotional and financial help in hopes to the best recovery possible. Surgeries, medication, therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and the list continues.

•broken ribs

•broken nose

•punctured lungs

•broken pelvis

•head injuries , brain swelling, brain bleed

The impact of your support

Our lovely Saru is a true angel in the world and although she has found the strength and courage to not let go she will remain in the ICU for more days to come until she can be stable and strong enough to move forward into a long term rehab facility where she will endure physical therapy and receive the psychiatric help she will need to help her with the trauma and pain she has been through. Her life has changed forever as has ours.
