August’s 25 week Journey

August was diagnosed with Stage 3 Wilms Tumor on Tuesday November 21st. We are back home now. He had his first of 25 weekly doses of chemo on Thanksgiving. He will have surgery in January to remove his left kidney along with the tumor. We have been so overwhelmed with the support and love from family and friends. This tumor has a 90%+ recovery rate so we are working on staying positive, happy, and strong. Due to the chemotherapy, we will be mostly quarantining as the doctor’s monitor his bloodwork due to his immunocompromised status.

Our family set up a MealTrain for us for the next 6 weeks as we go through the first weeks of chemo and await surgery.
