Help Aui fight breast and bone cancer

4 months ago our families received the shocking news that our lovely beautiful Aui, wife of JP and mother of three-year-old Zen was diagnosed with extensive metastases in her bones from a breast cancer. It was so far advanced that she could not walk or even sit up in bed and she needed to be airlifted from their home in Koh Phangan to Bangkok for treatments to save her life. After radiation therapy and 3 months of treatment in a special clinic in Bangkok (VeritaLife) we are very happy to see improvement - the treatments are working - but there is a long way to go!

Aui, JP and Zen are now well enough to leave Bangkok and start a new phase in their life in Chiangmai, however she will continue to need acute treatments for some time to get rid of the cancers in her body, and subsequently further treatments to keep it at bay in the years to come.

When all of this happened the type of health insurance that Aui has did not include cancer treatments, so they have spent all of their savings as well as relied on family for support. Whilst responding very well to the treatment, the expenses are enormous and will be ongoing for a long time - the total cost of the treatments is not yet clear, but is likely to be well over €150k over the next few years.

Some of their friends have asked if they can help and therefore we have set up a GoFundMe to support them. This wasn't an easy step for them as they are proud and don't want to burden other people besides their families but without support they cannot afford the treatments anymore. All funds will be used to pay for Aui's ongoing treatment.
