Kyr for Cancer!

First, thank you for looking at my fundraiser! About two months ago I was diagnosed with stage 3 oral cancer. As a 30 year-old who hasn't smoked and rarely drinks, this definitely came as a shock. What I thought was a canker sore turned out to be so much worse. Since then, I have had multiple tests an appointments all leading to surgery at the end of May. The surgery will take about half my tongue and be about 7-10 hours long. They will take some of my right lymph nodes that were shown to be enlarged. Depending on what pathology sees, I may need chemo or radiation after, but hopefully not. I'll be in the ICU for a week after the surgery, feeding tube in my nose, trach tube in my throat. I will need speech therapy, and physical therapy for about a year. To replace my tongue they will also take skin, veins, and part of my artery from my wrist, and skin from my thigh to replace that. My doctor estimated that I would be out of work anywhere between 3-6 months for recovery.
